"Happy Easter to ALL, including the radical leftist CRAZIES who rigged our presidential election and want to destroy our country!"
The overall message came on the heels of a damning New York Times report that said Trump's 2020 re-election campaign allegedly duped supporters into making recurring donations without their consent.
According to the Times' investigation into Federal Election Commission records, the campaign was forced to return $122.7 million to supporters in 2020. The report explains that after Democrats began to overtake Trump in the reelection race, the campaign then defrauded donors by setting "recurring donations as the default for online donors for each week before the election."
The report goes on to say that the opt-out was hidden in a "fine print clause" and "as the election approached, the Trump team made the clause increasingly opaque."
But we're sure that after Trump's Sunday celebrations, Trump expects his deluded followers to enjoy Easter as well. As Mediaite recalls, in 2013, Trump celebrated 9/11 by sending well wishes to everyone, "even the haters and the losers."
"I would like to send my best wishes to everyone, even the haters and losers, on this special date, 9/11," Trump tweeted.
