Oscar nominee and Umbrella Academy star Elliot Page, formerly known as Ellen Page, came out as transgendered and non-binary in the intimate post published on his social media pages. "Hello friends, I want to share with you that I am in a trance, my pronouns are he/ she and my name is Elliot," writes the actor in an open letter. "I feel lucky to have written this. To be here. To come here in my life."

"I feel very grateful for the amazing people who supported me on this journey," continues Paige. "I can't tell you how wonderful it is to finally love who I really am to pursue my true self. I have been inspired endlessly by many of the trans-communities. Thank you for your courage, generosity and tireless work to make this world more inclusive and compassionate. I will give my full support and continue to fight for a more loving and equal society.

Paige began her career with groundbreaking roles in the films "Hard Candy" and "Juno", the latter of which earned her an Oscar nomination for "Best Actress". A year before "Juno" catapulted Paige into the mainstream, she appeared as a mutant in Kitty Pride's "X-Men: The Last Stand," a role she will re-release in the sequel to "X-Men: Days of the Future of the Past. Paige's other acting credits include Christopher Nolan's "Conception" and the lesbian drama Julianne Moore "The Free".

"I like being in a trance," Paige writes in her letter. "And I like that I'm queer. And the more I stay close and fully embrace who I am, the more I dream, the more my heart grows and the more I thrive. All transsexuals who face harassment, self-hatred, violence and the threat of violence on a daily basis I see you, I love you and I will do everything in my power to change this world for the better. “

The site is currently featured in Netflix's successful "Umbrella Academy" comic book series, which debuted in season two earlier this year and will return at a later date for season three.
